The Read-A-Thon starts tomorrow! Signup sheets went home with Mary Lynch students yesterday, as well as paper reading logs. The goal of the Read-A-Thon is to encourage students to read both at school and outside of school. The incentives they can earn through the Read-A-Thon are designed with that in mind.
Students can participate in a variety of ways.
1: they can just track their reading minutes either online or on the paper log and earn some prizes along the way
2: they can just ask for donations to benefit our school library. 75% of the donations made stay in our school! They will receive prizes for their efforts.
3: they can do both of the above!
Email jmurdoch@kpslonghorns.org with any questions or for a new signup sheet.
Yesterday at ELITE, the kids had a blast making musical instruments. They made paper plate tambourines, plastic egg maracas, and the favorite was a popsicle stick harmonica.
