The Longhorns officially start their season tonight with a home opener against the Leyton Warriors. The girls found themselves matched up against a senior dominated very solid team and struggled to contain them coming up short for the night. The boys rolled with great hustle to finish with the win!!

Shavonne Singleton of Farm Bureau Financial Services is starting an Angel Tree Program this holiday season to benefit children in need in our district and community. The following information explains the program: 🎄✨ Kimball Community – Let’s Spread Some Holiday Cheer! 🎁❤️ We are excited to announce the start of an Angel Tree Program for our local community! This initiative is aimed at helping families provide a magical holiday season for their children, 18 and under. Here’s how it works: 🎅 Families in need: Applications are available by email at shavonne.singleton@fbfs.com or in person at the Farm Bureau office in Kimball. Provide details like the child’s age, gender, clothing sizes, and their Christmas wish. All applications need to be completed by December 16, 2024. 🤶 Sponsors: Stop by the Farm Bureau office to select a child (or children) based on your budget. Shop for their wish list, wrap the gifts, and return them to the office. Farm Bureau will coordinate pickup or delivery with the families. All applications will be kept confidential, and together, we’ll create unforgettable holiday memories for families in our community. #KimballAngelTree #CommunityLove #HolidayGiving #MakingSpiritsBright

Today, a few freshman JAG students took a trip to Scottsbluff to attend the 4H Medical Health Day. They broke out into different groups and got to learn about various careers within the medical profession in very hands-on ways. They participated in Stop the Bleed activities, they were trained on tying sutures, completed a few laparoscopic surgical simulations (one involving worms which was VERY fun to watch), did some urinalysis with various testing strips, worked to determine blood types from samples, got to see bread mold under a microscope, and got to work with various students from other schools to solve a breakout box using clues associated with the HR, accounting, and claims specialist professions within the medical field. Overall, it was a really fun experience for all and we all learned a LOT.
