Aaron is using the plasma cutter in the ag shop to take the old cutting edge off of the schools skid steer bucket to prepare it for a new one.

The Jr. High boys were in action again this afternoon against Sidney. The A team fell to the Raiders and played hard the entire game. The B and C teams battled and came up short as well. We are working to keep getting better! #longhornpride

A great week of growth for the pineapple flower in the KHS ag greenhouse. Pineapple fact: As late as the 1700s, pineapples imported from the Caribbean islands could fetch incredible prices, sometimes going for the equivalent of $8,000 in today’s dollars.

Congrats to the Kimball Speech Team on their 4th place win at WTC. Special congratulations goes to Xavier Thomas-Lewis for placing 1st in Entertainment and 3rd in Informative, Gideon Casimiro for placing 3rd in Poetry, Aspyn Kiefer for placing 5th in Serious, as Tyler Loffland for placing 5th in Poetry! Great job today and good luck in Gering on Saturday!

The Longhorn boys basketball team drops its contest at Pine Bluffs as well this evening. Both teams will be in action again on Friday at home against Hemingford. Good luck!

(2/2) Several of our high school students have elected to take dual credit classes through WNCC this year. WNCC recently provided a stipend to students who successfully completed classes last semester. Xavier Thomas-Lewis, Grace Murdoch, Taylor Bernt, Kealy Russell, Amy Birkhofer and Chantel Malson each received a $200 check. Congratulations to these students! Your hard work paid off!! Dear Kimball parents, the sophomore class is doing a Valentine's Day fundraiser to raise money for their junior prom and senior class trip. They are selling sugar cookies with red frosting for $3.00 and mini red velvet cakes with white frosting for $4.00. If you’re interested, please contact Mrs. Lewis or a sophomore student. Anything it appreciated.

The Jr. High boys were in action at Morrill this morning. The A and B teams both came up short against Bridgeport in the first round of the tournament. In the second round they were both able to beat Morrill. Great job fellas! #longhornpride
BREAKING NEWS: Forensic scientists at Kimball High School solve “crime” by identifying “blood” types to link suspects back to the crime scene. All groups were successful in their mission.
