🌟 Mike Donahue & Value Up Coming to Kimball Jr/Sr High School – Wednesday, November 12th! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Mike Donahue, founder of Value Up, for a full day of inspiring assemblies with our students on Wednesday, November 12th. Mike is a nationally recognized speaker who has worked with over a million students across the world, encouraging them to recognize their intrinsic value, make positive life choices, and treat others with empathy and respect.

Throughout the day, Mike will meet with:

4th–6th Grade: 8:00–9:00 AM

7th–8th Grade: 10:00–11:00 AM

9th–12th Grade: 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

Student Leaders: 1:15–2:00 PM

His message centers on three key ideas:
1️⃣ Embrace Your Value – Your worth is built-in; no one can take it away.
2️⃣ Make Choices that Match Your Value – How we see ourselves impacts every decision we make.
3️⃣ Value Others – When we see the worth in others, empathy and respect follow naturally.

💬 Special Evening Presentation for Parents – You Don’t Want to Miss This!

📅 Wednesday, November 12th
🕕 6:00 PM in the Kimball High School Gymnasium

Mike will share the same message your students hear during the day—then go even deeper, offering practical advice for parents navigating the challenges of adolescence. His insights on how teens think, communicate, and connect are both eye-opening and encouraging.

Even if you think “my teen doesn’t need this,” you may be surprised at how much both you and your child can gain from hearing this message. Parents who’ve attended these sessions in other schools say it’s one of the most meaningful conversations they’ve had about raising teens today

Let’s show our students—and ourselves—that every person in our school and community has value.

We hope to see all parents and guardians there!

Today our three show choirs competed at the Old West Choirfest. All groups performed very well and the high school show choir New Dimension was selected to perform at the Best Of The Fest which places them in the top seven groups for the day! Good luck tonight!!!

The Kimball FFA Chapter recently returned from an exciting trip to the National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana, where members joined thousands of students from across the country to celebrate leadership, growth, and the future of agriculture. 💙💛 Before reaching Indianapolis, students made several memorable stops along the way: 🎶 Nashville, Tennessee: Members explored downtown Nashville, toured the historic Grand Ole Opry, and visited the Country Music Hall of Fame, where they learned about the roots and evolution of country music. From live street performances to the bright lights of Broadway, Nashville offered an unforgettable cultural experience. 🥛 Chaney’s Dairy Barn (Bowling Green, KY): The chapter toured this family-run dairy farm to learn about sustainable agriculture practices, animal care, and the challenges and rewards of modern dairy production. Of course, students couldn’t leave without sampling Chaney’s famous homemade ice cream! 🍦big thanks to Carl for the engaging discussion and tour! 🏇 Churchill Downs (Louisville, KY): Members visited the home of the Kentucky Derby, where they discovered the rich history and traditions of thoroughbred racing. Students got to watch a morning of thoroughbred workouts. ⚾️ Louisville Slugger Factory: The group toured the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory to see firsthand how America’s favorite baseball bats are made, combining history, craftsmanship, and innovation. Everyone got their very own mini bat! 🎭 Entertainment & Experiences: During their stay, students attended an evening hypnotist show filled with laughter and fun. At the National FFA Convention, they participated in inspiring sessions, connected with agricultural leaders, and explored the massive Expo, full of colleges, companies, and opportunities in the ag industry. The trip was an incredible blend of education, exploration, and fun — giving Kimball FFA members the chance to learn about leadership, culture, and agriculture beyond the classroom. 🌾 Kimball FFA is proud to have represented our community and school at National Convention!💛💙 #KimballFFA #NationalConvention
