The Kimball Public School Board approved the 2024-25 School calendar at the Regular Board Meeting on March 11, 2024. Thank you to all of the patrons who provided feedback as part of the school calendar review process. A couple of notes regarding the 2024-25 school calendar:
Kimball Public Schools will operate on a 4-day school week for the 2024-25 school year with mostly Fridays off throughout the year. There are several Fridays that school will be in session as a result of the district having a day off earlier in the week (i.e. Labor Day, hosting conference events, etc.).
Our school day during the school year will be 35 minutes longer as students will be in class during the following times:
Mary Lynch - 8:00 AM - 3:40 PM
Jr/Sr High School - 7:50 AM - 3:55 PM
Kimball Public Schools will operate our Food Services program at Mary Lynch Elementary on Fridays during the school year when students have the day off (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas break). The Friday program will look similar to our summer food services program at Mary Lynch as we will serve breakfast and lunch.
Kimball Public Schools will operate our ELITE after-school program at Mary Lynch Elementary on Fridays during the school year (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas break). The Friday program will look similar to our summer ELITE program at Mary Lynch as the program will operate from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM when students have the day off. On all other days, our ELITE program will operate from the end of the school day until 6:00 PM as it presently does.
Kimball Public Schools transportation routes may arrive 10 minutes earlier and/or drop off 10 minutes later as a result of the extended school day. This information will be communicated to patrons on transportation routes prior to the start of the 2024-25 school year.
All of this information and any additional information regarding the 2024-25 school calendar will be communicated again prior to the start of the school year at the start of August.
Please see the 2024-25 calendar attached:
