Kimball Public Schools recently worked with Community Building Solutions to update the HVAC and lighting at district facilities. As part of the agreement, Community Building Solutions analyzed energy usage and costs at the district comparing 2020 (prior to the new HVAC and lighting) and 2023 (all new systems operational). Of note, when comparing 2020 to 2023, our district not only saved money but used less kilowatts of electricity and significantly less natural gas. You can access the Energy Savings report by clicking on the link here: https://5il.co/31jws

🎉 Supermarket Sweep Success! 🛒 Today, students from each of our 8 ranches from the Kimball Jr/Sr High School competed in an exciting Supermarket Sweep at Main Street Market! Two students from each ranch raced through the store to collect 70 identical items from a list. The first ranch to fill their cart earned points for their team. At the conclusion, all items were delivered to the Kimball Food Pantry..Thanks to the generosity of Clean Harbors for donating over $1,500 to cover the cost of the items. We’re proud of our students for their teamwork and spirit and grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community! 💙 #CourageUp #KimballPride #CommunitySupport

Today, JAG teamed up with the United States Marines to provide Marine for a Day for students across the western side of Nebraska. A few Kimball students got the opportunity to travel to North Platte to participate in the Initial Strength Assessment that is a physical test that new recruits must pass before starting recruit training. It involves pull-ups, planks, ammo box presses, and a 1.5 mile run. Kimball students did outstanding in this area and then had the opportunity to enjoy MREs for lunch and had the to learn more about the marines from those who have really experienced it.

📣 Important Announcement for Jr/Sr High School Students and Parents – Remote Day on November 26th! 📣 On Tuesday, November 26th, the Jr/Sr High School will transition to a remote learning day due to hosting the WTC Conference One-Act competition. Here’s what you need to know: ✅ Students will stay home and complete a remote assignment in each class. ✅ Teachers will provide an assignment for each class that will be due by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, November 26th. ✅ Submitting the assignment will count as attendance for that class. ❌ If the assignment is not submitted, the student will be marked absent. ✅ The assignment will require minimal effort and will be for attendance purposes only. The elementary school will have a regular in-person school day as usual. Please ensure your student completes and submits their assignments on time to avoid any attendance issues. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we welcome students and families from other districts for this exciting event! Students who are participating in school activities that day will not be required to complete the assignments as their attendance will be documented as School Business. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the school office.
